As we know that Urban Planning is a field which is continually evolving and it is a technical and political process. That is why planning strategy in the Islampur town also changes according to change in multiple factors like population growth, environment changes like air & water, land use, economic development and social changes etc. Islampur is changing fast and urban planning has a key role to play in developing the Municipality. Population growth, urban development and environmental sustainability present major challenges for the planning, not only in Islampur Municipality but across the globe. The rapid increase in population within Islampur Municipality has put tremendous pressure on available Municipal services. So what is our task is to come up with creative and innovative ideas to design and prepare a town planning which meets the needs of the present without hampering the ability of future generations to meet their own needs as because effective planning strategies can have a hugely positive effect on peoples’ living conditions and lives.
